Femi Fani-Kayode shuns his daughter's wedding.

Former minister of Aviation and spokesman for Goodluck Jonathan presidential campaign, Femi Fani-Kayode, was conspicuously absent from the wedding of his daughter on Sunday.

The traditional marriage of Temitope Fani-Kayode, the daughter of Mr. Fani-Kayode and Yemisi Wada; and Jaiye, the son of Bashorun J.K. Randle took place in Lagos.

Last week, Femi Fani-Kayode disclosed that he wouldn’t attend his daughter’s wedding rites. He also didn’t attend the wedding introduction which held on 22nd January 2015 at Temitope’s stepfather’s home in Ikoyi.

With the absence of Fani-Kayode, Dahiru Wada took the place of the bride’s father. Dahiru Wada is married to Yemisi, Femi Fani-Kayode’s ex-wife. Dahiru is the son of Inua Wada, a one-time minister in the First Republic. Also in attendance at the ceremony are Otunba Adekunle Ojora and wife Ojuolape, Otunba Subomi Balogun and wife Abimbola, Dame Abimbola Fashola, Chief (Mrs) Nike Akande, Mrs. Yemi Ransome-Kuti, and other eminent Nigerians.
